Day 1 - Tokyo, Japan - Arrival
Today's arrival in Tokyo, Japan. It is impossible, to sum up, Tokyo in one line, a paragraph, a page or even a book. The city has a force and power all of its own. It creates its gravity; a center of everything: politics, industry, finance, shopping, the arts, architecture, nightlife, and food. Upon arrival clear your custom and proceed to the terminal where you will meet and greet your experienced tour manager/guide. Later proceed to hotel check-in and later proceed for dinner. Overnight in Tokyo. (Dinner)
Japan’s largest city and it's capital since the Meiji restoration of 1868, Tokyo is a sensory bombardment and the wonderful abundance of street-level detail means there is always something to keep the attention. A visit to Tokyo is the chance to witness the Japanese success story up close.
Day 2 – Tokyo
Today after breakfast, a full day city tour of Tokyo city. Enjoy Chidorigafuchi park, Visit Tokyo Tower, Asakusa Kannon Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Ryogoku Area. Dinner at Italian / Indian Restaurant. After dinner hotel transfer. Overnight in Tokyo. (Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3 – Tokyo - Mt. Fuji & Hakone - Tokyo
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour. Visit Mt. Fuji 5th station (weather permitted). Set in the mountainous countryside just to the south of Mt. Fuji, Hakone offers a curious mix of different attractions. On clear days the ropeways provide spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, and of course way in the distance the imperious Mt. Fuji – one of the world’s most famous mountains and perhaps the most recognizable symbol of Japan. Hakone ropeway one way (Weather permitted). Lake Ashi Cruise(Weather permitted). Overnight in Tokyo. (Breakfast, Lunch or packed, Dinner)
Day 4 - Tokyo - Nikko Toshogu Shrine - Kegon Falls (Day Tour)
Today after breakfast we proceed to visit Nikko - Nikko is a Buddhist-Shinto religious center, its shrines, and temples scattered among the hilly woodlands. Visit Toshogu Shrine It’s Japan’s most lavishly decorated shrine, decked out in gold-leaf accents and countless wood carvings. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its lavish decorations and ornate details. This 400-year-old shrine houses the remains of Edo period's founder, Ieyasu Tokugawa. Later proceed to visit Kegon Falls, Known as one of Japan's 3 great waterfalls, Kegon Falls towers an impressive 97 meters and gushes water from Lake Chuzenji. The charge to take the Kegon Falls elevator is included in the booking price. Drive back to Tokyo and overnight in Tokyo. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 - Tokyo to Osaka – Bullet Train – Guided city tour
Today after breakfast, take a bullet train for Osaka. Afternoon Guided city tour of Osaka. Visit Osaka Castle(Inside visit included), Free time at Shinsaibashi Area and the Dotonbori Area. Overnight in Osaka. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Osaka Castle is one of Japan's most famous landmarks and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century of the Azuchi-Momoyama period.
Day 6 – Osaka - Kyoto – Kinkakuji Temple ( Day Tour )
Arashiyama: Walk through the flourishing bamboo forest and discover the alluring beauty of the surroundings. Kinkakuji Temple: Visit the icon of Kyoto, the "Golden Pavilion," covered with gold foil. Visit Tenryu-Ji & Okochi-Sanso Overnight in Osaka. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 - Osaka - Kyoto (Day Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kyoto by coach. Kiyomizu Temple: Avoid crowds and enjoy an early morning visit to Kiyomizu Temple for a birds-eye view of Kyoto. One of the most enjoyable ways to experience Kyoto's elegance is on foot. Join our guide to explore the quaint alleyways of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka and appreciate historical neighborhoods and sites (In case of extreme hot or cold weather, seasonal adjustments will be made to our walking tour in order for you to have the best experience) The first part of the walking tour covers a distance of about 1.5 miles on fairly flat ground over approximately 1 hour of time. We will take a break in a local cafe near Maruyama park for about 1 hour. The second leg of our walking tour will end at the foot of the pilgrimage path to the Kiyomizu Shrine. This distance here is 0.8 miles over fairly flat ground in about 45 minutes. The footpath up to Kiyomizudera is uphill. After lunch, guests will have free time to further enjoy the area. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 - Osaka – Nara - Osaka
Today after breakfast, drive to Nara, perhaps Japan’s friendliest and greenest city. Upon arrival have Indian or Japanese lunch, later sightseeing of Nara. Nara Park - if beautiful pagodas and magnificent statues of Buddha enchant you, then Nara park is the perfect palace to stroll between them. Kasuga Shrine, Toda-Ji Temple. Today the most famous tourist attraction is the Tōdai-ji temple, world’s largest wooden building which houses a mighty bronze daibutsuor giant Buddha statue. Later drive to Osaka, have dinner. Overnight in Osaka. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 09 – Departure
Today after breakfast, proceed to the airport to take your flight back to the USA. (Breakfast)
